Pretty much every year since the year my grandma died, 1994, we have driven to Santaquin, Utah, during Memorial Day weekend to decorate family graves and have a barbecue with my dad's extended family. I've always enjoyed the little getaway, with both memories of good fun and of course family dramas. This year was especially touching - since Grandpa died last year this was the first time we had seen the headstone completed. Mom and Dad kindly invited me to go, along with Lindsay, and Jason kindly agreed to play single dad for the weekend. It was such a nice little trip. I always miss Jason and the kids while I am away, but it was such a quiet relaxing time (I haven't traveled without little kids for a very long time!). Thanks, Jason, for helping me get away and thanks, Mom and Dad, for inviting me to go!

No little kids with us meant plenty of stops at different little Utah cemeteries to find and document graves for family history.
I love searching through cemeteries!
