Catching Fireflies One Last Time

After closing on our house on May 18th, we lived in an apartment just up the street for the next seven weeks.  While going from a house with plenty of play space and a great backyard to a tiny third floor apartment was not at the top of my "things I want to do" list, life was pretty simple and fun for those few weeks.  We spent the time playing at park after park, watching episodes of cartoon Avengers, playing with friends, and rocking our new baby. We also tried to squeeze in "one more" of everything that we love about Omaha. Catching fireflies was definitely on our list!

So proud to hold a firefly

Chelsey was the firefly catcher for Ryan and herself

 She loves catching them!

Goodbye to Great Friends

During the last week of residency, we went out to celebrate with our close friends, Alvin and Sarah.  We went to a fun tapas place called La Espana.  Alvin and Sarah have been so good to us throughout residency - there are not words to express how much we appreciate them and everything they did for us during the last three years.  We will miss them tremendously and can't wait to see them again.  They are truly like family to us and we have many happy memories with them (and hopefully many more to come).

Thanks for everything, Alvin and Sarah!  We love you!

Good Omaha Friends

Shortly before we left Omaha, we got a chance to walk along the riverfront with some of our closest Omaha friends.  We really were blessed with great friends and we'll miss them so much!
