Happy Fifth Birthday, Ryan!

Ryan is a great little kid.  He brings a lot of laughter to our family, whether it's through the funny things he says or the silly little antics he comes up with.  He loves the color green, playing the Wii, Angry Birds, Star Wars, anything Lego, and running "like a cheetah." His favorite food is (still) hot dog casserole, and he loves popsicles and M&Ms.  He loves to play with his sisters and have boy time with his dad.  He loves to make everything a competition, especially kneeling first for our family prayer and being the first upstairs for scriptures in the morning.  We love our Ry-guy and the joy he brings to our family.  Happy Birthday, buddy!

The Angry Birds Birthday Cake

This was one of those brilliant ideas that starts out like, "Hey, that doesn't look too hard!" Well, making your own marshmallow fondant really isn't too hard; it is just really labor intensive! This cake was so much fun to make... for the first two hours.  Two hours after that we just wanted it to be done! Ryan sure loved it, though, and isn't that the point, really?  Happy fifth birthday to our cute little guy!
