They're Just Finding Out What I've Always Known To Be True...

A new study says having a sister might make you a better person. Ummmm....duh!

Lindsay definitely lifts me up when I am down.

Jason's sisters are women to look up to.

Woo-hoo! Sis-tuhs!

Happy Birthday to Grandpa Hymas!

In honor of Grandpa Hymas, we made Snickerdoodles yesterday. He would have been 52, and this was his very favorite cookie!

Happy Birthday, Grandpa Kelly!

Ryan's Big Boy Bed

He was so excited to sleep in his new bed!

He crawled right in to try it out -- don't you love the fake snores?!

Now we're just looking for cute baseball bedding, or cute fabric for me to make him a baseball quilt. Let us know if you find anything anywhere!

Traveling Home to Nebraska

Ryan had to have his blanket at all times...

Emily had to have her bunny at all times...

And Chelsey had to have her teddy at all times.
(Jason scored that turtle sandbox in a WalMart clearance sale -- it smiled at us the whole way home!)

This was our first trip back to Idaho in two years (minus the quick weekend trip for Jeff's wedding last year) and we loved every minute! We didn't have nearly enough time to visit our friends like we wanted to. We barely had enough time to see all of our family. Oh, to have unlimited vacation time.... Eventually we'll be back, though. And this time to stay!

Happy Birthday, Dad!

On our last night in Idaho we picked up an icecream cake to celebrate my dad's birthday a few days early, and they so graciously included my name, too. Our birthdays are only a week apart, and we've done this a few times over the years. I always loved it because I got to spread my birthday out over a whole week! Happy Birthday, Dad, and I wish we could have stayed a few more days to be there in person.

Makell's Senior Pictures

Jason photographed Makell for her senior pictures, and the pictures turned out so fun! And can I just say that I have never seen someone so calm and cool getting ready for pictures. Makell is so pretty that she didn't even have to do anything special to her hair or her makeup to get ready! How envious I am of that! There are so many beautiful, fun pictures of her, but this one was my favorite:

Taking Pictures at the Gardens

Jason took Makell's senior pictures one day and snapped some cute ones of the kids, too:

It was such a beautiful day!

Emily and Denise

The Marshmallow Battle

Those marshmallow guns Jason got for Father's Day sure did bring a lot of fun! The Lofgran cousins really enjoyed shooting each other, and here are some pictures of the Hymas clan enjoying a battle:

Barbara was quite the shot!

Seconds before the camera was assaulted by Carina
(Notice Denise in the back with her "rifle," protecting the baby)

Jason took this picture to show how many marshmallows were on the ground.
Of course, moments later the "marshmallow grenades" started, with handfuls at a time thrown all over. I'm pretty sure Denise will be finding marshmallows for months!

Visiting with Grandma Quirl

The best part of going to Idaho was seeing family we have missed so much!

Our family visiting Grandma Quirl

A Tea Party with Belle

After having a quick lunch and saying goodbye to all of the Quirl family we drove to West Yellowstone to enjoy a fun evening at the PlayMill Theater, where we saw Beauty and the Beast. First, though, the girls got to enjoy a fun tea party with Belle:

Chelsey, Emily, and Daisy with Belle

Emily telling Belle her princess name, where her kingdom is, and her favorite princess-y color

The girls enjoying their chocolate cake and lemonade

Thank you so much, Grandma, for such a fun time at the PlayMill!
