Happy Birthday Brendie!!!

It's my sister Brendie's birthday and she is getting really really really really old. I wanted to get her something nice, but a) we don't have any money and b) we live really far away, so I figure the next best thing is to post a bunch of pictures of her on our blog for the entire world to see. Happy Valentine's Day!!!

We had a good Valentine's Day at our house. I got to come home early from my last day of Psychiatry so I could "study" for my shelf exam the next day. So, we did a little bit of Valentine's celebrating and then I studied for a (very) little while.

We've made a fun tradition of getting a heart-shaped pizza from Papa Murphy's each Valentine's Day. This year was no different and Amy said it was my turn to have my picture taken with it... Luckily, I had two cute girls who were willing to jump in the picture too to make it worth posting on the blog:

We had fun exchanging valentines with each other. Chelsey and Emily spent all day making them and putting them in the "Hymas Valentine Mailbox" so we could each have some cards to read on Valentine's Day.


While the girls and Mommy were busy making Valentine cards, Daddy snuck away to pick up some very special Valentine's Day flowers for his three special sweethearts (Sorry Ryan, boys don't get flowers... ever... you'll learn about Valentine's Day all too soon.)

So, all in all it was another successful Valentine's Day.

Discovery World Part 2

There were lots of other things to do at Discovery World besides the aquarium. We spent most of the day there and still didn't see everything. We're excited to go back again soon to see the rest!


Here we tested our ability to turn the fan. Daddy and Grandma got really tired, but remarkably, the girls didn't have a hard time at all.

This is a really cool thing called the HIVE that Grandma, Daddy, and Chelsey got to try. We are in the little room with all the mirrors on it and if you look closely at the little screen in the center, you can see the three of us in the middle of the solar system with our 3D goggles on. It was a really cool tour of the solar system.

Discovery World Aquarium

Yesterday we got to go to Discovery World with Grandma. It was so much fun!!! There are lots of things to see and do there, but our favorite part was the aquarium:


This is a really cool part of the aquarium where you walk over the fish... Chelsey was a little unsure about "walking on the fish" at first, but then thought it was pretty cool.

This is a really amazing tunnel you walk through where the fish are swimming all around you. When you look up, it looks like the fish are floating in the air above your head. It was really neat.

Ryan was very lucky to have his aunt Amy and Grandma come out to help take care of him. Unfortunately, we didn't get a picture with Amy :( but here is a picture of Ryan happy to see his grandma.

Bringing Ryan Home

We hadn't posted any pictures for a while, so I thought I'd stick some more up of the last couple weeks...
